James Marusek 5,244 Posted August 27, 2015 It is common for individuals after gastric bypass operation to pass significantly more gas than usual. This will decrease the further you are out but it will never go away. One of the guidelines is to not use a straw when you drink fluids. That is to prevent swallowing too much air when you drink.
