Got home around 4 and feeling good. Getting fluids in and ate a Popsicle. Looking forward to cream Soups and yogurt over the next week I only have one incision that hurts. I gained 6 pounds at the hospital. I know it just fluids ad will wait to weigh again Friday.

Doing pretty good. I slept in my bed last night 10 p - 5 a. I'm going to try really hard to get my Water in today. The shakes and yogurt go down so much better than the water. I weighed to 218.0 today which is less than surgery weight, looking forward to the scale moving. I haven't had a bowel movement since Thursday., but I've been passing tons of gas.

That's great that you got to sleep in bed. You must not have any pain then? It actually doesn't hurt that much. Just soreness. My csection was worse then the sleeve. But it helps that we have small insicions instead of 1 huge one. That's good that your already losing weight too. Extra Fluid sucks in the body.

It's going to be a great day! I pooped first thing this morning and that is the first time I pooped since surgery, yeah me! I also have 30g of Protein in before 7:00 am. Still have a little pain on the left side but very manageable. I was awake all day yesterday and went to bed at 10 p. I slept good until 5:30 a. Each day it gets better.

@@bcostasbiggs - I drank a premier Bananas & Cream (30 g) this morning and it took about an hour to drink. I have been eating yogurt and cheddar broccoli Soup with unflavored Protein. It's actually easier for me to do the soup, shakes and yogurt than drink Water. I've only got 12 oz of water over the last 3 hours. I love water but sometimes it hurts when it goes down.

I'm hanging in there. I have OCD and I'm trying not to obsess about the liquid diet so much. My timer goes off, I drink a shake. Then drink 20 ounces of Water. Then another shake. Then some broth. Then a shake and so on. When I've had all my water I switch to tea or Vitamin water. And I go about my day. I even pre made some shakes to get rid of that ritual 5 times a day.

One week post op and I feel really good. Barely any incisional pain left. I feel like I can bigger drinks of Water, well more than a sip. I've just been eating Soup, yogurt and Protein Drinks or shakes. My daughters birthday is the weekend and we are having a party tomorrow. I had to go into Subway (smelled like heaven) and GiGi's cupcake to order food and cupcakes for her party. She has to have surgery to remove her Thyroid on Thursday so it will be really hard to to stress eat with a 4 oz pouch. I need to take food with me to the hospital because she'll be in a few days.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
