Ugh hunger got the best o me and I ate a Quest bar and half a sweet italian sausage. The good news is I am still under my 800 calorie a day and carb limit. Back on track starts now! 10 days to go!

I wish u didn't have to cook for my family. It would make things so much easier! If my home scale can be trusted, I am down 9 pounds on the pre op diet, the days left. Wow. That's crazy.

I meant I wish *I* didn't have to cook.

But hey, if anyone wants to come cook for my family, have at it!!! Lololol

Bloomer, that's what I did if I needed something to eat. Just watched what I ate. Your losing weight so your liver will be fine. I give props to anyone who stays 100 percent on the diet n doesn't cheat one bit. Cooking for the family n having kids is rough. I didn't cook. I let them cook their own. I wanted my husband just to eat chipotle or skyline since I don't like those that much but when your starving, anything works lol. It made it worse for me while at work too since everyone could eat what they want. My manager is always eating. It also sucked with the smell of outback. Omg.....your gonna do just fine. We aren't perfect.

I'm just so scared to go off the diet. I'm even starting it today to lose some extra weight.

Well. That lasted like a minute. I just ate a stuffed pepper that I had frozen a few weeks ago I was cleaning out the cabinets and freezer and fridge and found it. :-(

Tssiemer, that's great you started a diet and are gonna try to lose some weight before. It will make things easier for you. A stuff pepper sounds so freaking good. It probably wasn't all bad for you.

Bloomer, the diet is definitely hard no matter what. I found it easiest to just wait the week of surgery or the last 3 days to just be strict. Even though that's totally breaking the diet but I feel like they just don't understand how hard this really is. They also say that we won't be hungry and that's a lie. I just don't get the growling of the stomach. It's weird. I mean I wasn't hungry for the first couple days but I was so ready for food by my 1st week. Eating is really weird and swallowing.

I mean, how long can it actually take to shrink your liver?? Some doctors don't even require a liquid diet before. Just Clear Liquids day before. So I don't know. But I'm going to follow it best I can.

I did good yesterday was 223.8 today so up .2. I'm worried about not having a loss on my surgery day. Right now I'm down 6 pounds from my last weigh-in but only 2 pounds from my initial weigh-in in August 2015. I want to definitely be lower than my initial weigh-in. Ivan told a story about a person who hadn't lost any weight prior to surgery so they sent her home. I don't want to be THAT person.

Kroger brand chicken broth tastes like crap.

@@tssiemer I used Campbell's Keurig pods and it tastes pretty good. They have a couple different flavor so like southwest and home style.

Still hungry, isn't the hunger supposed to pass? Still doing good though and was down to 222.2 this morning. I would like to be below 220 for surgery. I work Sunday and then Tuesday, and the off work until 5-15. My plan is to get my house clean and laundry done so I can relax a few days. I also want to meal plan/prep for the family for the first week. I'll have help if needed but I'm a planner by nature.

Cool I'll look into them.

This weekend I've been cleaning, doing laundry and putting up winter clothes I probably will never wear again. I'm afraid to give them away until I've actually had surgery. I did that with my summer clothes when I thought I was having it done last November.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
