MollyF22 62 Posted September 29, 2015 I'm over 50 and that's the only way my insurance is covering it is if I'm over that. Hopefully Dr.Ivan got back to you on that. @@Tssiemer1 when are you able to get surgery?
Bloomer723 75 Posted September 29, 2015 Ivan responded that they take your initial weight so Hopefully I'll be fine. I meet with the dietician Friday and my next appointment with Ivan is in November. That appointment will be approximately the half way mark yahoo!
Tssiemer1 549 Posted September 29, 2015 Not sure with this whole false positive drug test. I'm still hoping around November 23rd. I go for my sleep consultation tomorrow and have my psych consult the 10/7, NUT 10/13 and Fitness thing on 10/21 then I will be done.
MollyF22 62 Posted September 30, 2015 Bloomer we will be in the same boat pretty much. These months are gonna seem forever in a way. But at least it's almost October now. I just hope the snow doesn't decide to come when we have surgery. Tssiemer, I'm sorry you had a false positive drug test. But at least your kind of almost done. I wish we were having the surgery done in November. The only thing I haven't done is the psych eval. That's the only thing I have left for them. That will be done in November. Hopefully your sleep consultation will go good too. So much jumping through hoops.
Tssiemer1 549 Posted September 30, 2015 I am terrified of this sleep consultation and study lol.

MollyF22 62 Posted October 1, 2015 Did you have to go somewhere to have it done or are you at home? I hope all goes well!

Tssiemer1 549 Posted October 1, 2015 Dr Surdulescu said my insurance won't pay for the lab test until I have a home study. She said this is common. Since I don't have symptoms and haven't had problems with anesthesia she said she would accept a negative home test and turn it in. I've had 5 surgeries in the past 3 years and have been fine. MollyF22 62 Posted October 2, 2015 That's good. Hopefully everything will turn out good for you. It seems like we all jump through hoops for the surgery. Kind of crazy. I can't even believe it's October already. This cold sucks and it's not even too cold. I've already had a horrible October starting out though. One of cats had to be put down last night due to flea infestation at my dad's house. He got anemic. Having a bit of a hard time but I will be okay as time heals I hope. Bloomer723 75 Posted October 2, 2015 @Perk4756-Hello! It just so happens that 3 of us posted on this thread and live in Northern KY/Cincinnati area and have the same WLS surgeon. @@tssiemer - Happy belated birthday! Hope your sleep study works out. @@molly - sorry about your cat. It's always amazed me how attached we become to our fur babies. I met with the dietician today and actually learned some things. Our pre-op two weeks seems way more restrictive than post op. Compared to pre-op postop seems doable. I was told today that after my 2/17 appointment they will submit for precert and then it will be 4-6 weeks before surgery. I gained 7 pounds, yikes! I have got to get some control over my eating/exercising soon.
MollyF22 62 Posted October 3, 2015 Thanks Bloomer. I am a bit better today about everything. I couldn't sleep until 9am this morning. I had to take nyquil just to go to sleep. I'm trying a positive mind about how it went down and try to be better about it instead of hating myself and being sad. At least he's not suffering. Time will go by though and I just hope I can be okay. At least my daughter keeps me company. She's 3 lol. The pre op 2 weeks are going to suck for the most part. I'm not looking forward to that at all. Head hunger is gonna be there too. It sucks that some people don't even have to have a pre op diet for long. Just a couple days ahead or have a meal with it too. We can do it though. Take a day at a time and it will be worth it.
Tssiemer1 549 Posted October 3, 2015 After drinking shakes and eating a little bit of food through out the day I don't even get hungry. It's that head hunger. It's crazy. I'm about to try hypnotism. Lol.
