tssiemer 85 Posted August 26, 2015 I'm paranoid I'm going to do all this stuff and the insurance will still deny this. What are some reasons for denial? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Elode 8,093 Posted August 27, 2015 There's lots of reasons, not losing the amount of weight they ask you to lose before surgery, gaining weight. Not passing the psych evaluation, losing too much weight and being under the BMI you need to have. Make sure you know everything they need you do Have/do before starting. Call the insurance co and ask them for every detail so there won't be any surprises. Don't be afraid to call them!

cindyw41 761 Posted August 27, 2015 I agree with Shelly, ask your doctor if they are familiar with your insurance companies requirements. They should know. But also do your homework, call your insurance company. If you have a pre Authorization number on your card, call that one. They tend to know more about your specific plan than the customer service rep.
