NaomiAus 104 Posted November 20, 2015 It's such an incredible relief when you wake up, knowing that your safe. I worried myself sick for the week leading up, positive I wouldn't make it through

NaomiAus 104 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Yay, Naomi! Glad to see you through the other side! Keep us up to date on the recovery and beyond. Xx I'm doing well, I've only had one wave of nausea which was momentary, the gas pain is very low now. I feel extremely lucky that I'm doing so well. How are you going? Have you started the Optifast yet, your date should be coming up soon Edited November 20, 2015 by NaomiAus
frazildazil 18 Posted November 20, 2015 I'm Kiwi so far I haven't seen any other Kiwi here. I'm sleeved in Mexico on the 21st December. Can't wait!! NZ KIWI GIRL!!
froody 9 Posted November 20, 2015 Yeah, nah. Pretty sh•t lol. Officially start this Wednesday, have been trying off and on to stick to it but no go - I suck at it. Hoping a miracle happens and I suddenly keep it up continuously lol
frazildazil 18 Posted November 20, 2015 Great stuff, Ifrit! The rate I'm going, I'll be twenty kilos heavier by the time December ninth roles around. I just can't seem to stop the food funeral - pizza, tuna Pasta bake (which I love and hadn't had for years), all sorts of junk .... I do well for a day or two and then bang, it's back to eating whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like. I seriously want it to stop because I don't want to have to take off what I've just put on, but can't seem to help myself. Sigh. Roles = rolls I'm much the same!! I think I've put on 5kg since confirmed date. Hell I have 4 weeks to go.....have to slow it down. NZ KIWI GIRL!!
smileygal 43 Posted November 20, 2015 Hey everyone! Great to hear the journeys! Welcome to the other side those who have had surgery recently!! Sorry I haven't been on much! Re: early weeks, Fluid & Constipation - for some reason a water bottle with a bit of sugar free cordial is much easier to drink than straight Water. Always always carry a bottle with you. For Protein that goes down easily, up and go energise is fantastic - easy to sip, fills you up and great shot of protein. Also Metamucil sachets that dissolve in water. Keep going gals!!! I've just had 3 month post op check up. 15kgs gone, 2 sizes down, much more energy. Can eat anything in small amounts. Started Zumba, easy to choose the stair option now. Feeling great. Those wound issues? Apparently the sutures they close under the skin were not cut close enough and keep breaking through. 120days til they dissolve - so 30 to go!!!
