Boogirl6 17 Posted September 8, 2015 I just started Chantix yesterday. I'm Really hoping to not have any of the weird side effects that some people experience. Here goes nothin'!I used Chantix to quit 84 days ago The only side effect I had was very vivid dreams. They were so surreal but after waking up I didn't remember them. Good luck! Did Chantix make cigarettes taste bad to you, or just reduce your urge to smoke? I've gotten mixed reviews from friends.

I started taking it on a Sunday and by Thursday I was barely smoking at all. If you can get past the vivid dreams you will do fine. LMolina1987 75 Posted September 9, 2015 I'm still in the pre testing phase... im about half done. I have 2 more psych appts, my sleep study, pft, and a dietician appt left. Problem is... i can not seem to quit smoking. Anyone else have this issue? I never thought it would be this difficult. I tried to quit.. made it 3 days and snuck out of the house at 3 am to the gas station... chained smoked 3 cigs before i felt bad and broke the rest. Only after all of that dramatic mess was i able to sleep that night! Is there any hope?Yes there is hope I would smoke a pack in about two days. It's not easy very tough but once you get through.this you'll feel accomplish I'm in my 5th month not smoking. What I used to chew on when I was craving is called Licorice root. Boogirl6 17 Posted September 13, 2015 I've been on Chantix for a week now, and while the urges to smoke are less, the actual HABIT is still so strong! I went to the vape shop and got 0 mg juice. I ran out of cigarettes today, so I'll be vaping from now on. Chantix is not a miracle pill by any means. You really have to want to quit for it to work. I'm only quitting because of surgery. Tomorrow will be my official quit date. God, I hope I can pull this off!
