ipayne89 27 Posted August 25, 2015 Well I've been wanting to post a #transformationtuesday for a while but just haven't done it.. But here it goes.. In the last 7 month I have transformed a lot. From a whopping 380lbs person to the 238.4lbs I weighted this morning.. It's been a long long road but dropping 142lbs has been well worth it.. Many people have asked me how I have done it and for a while I chose to keep it private but what's the use? Back on September 10th of 2014 I made the decision to enroll in a weight loss class at Kaiser just to view my options about how to control my weight. They were very helpful and I gained a lot of knowledge on what to eat and basic nutrition. But they also informed me of many different weight loss surgeries.. I wasn't really looking down that road but when I looked at what could be my potential health risk I started to weight my options. You see my family history and their health problem; with my dad having heart problems, diabetes and dying of a heart attack at the age of 50. I decided to make a drastic change I my life. I decided to have the gastric sleeve. It was not only for my benefit but for benefit of my soon to be wife to insure that I would be around for many many years to come. So on January 26, 2015 with my then fiancé, my mom and sister by my side (and a visit from Aunt Candice) I went in for surgery to have the Gastric Sleeve.. I do have to say that it is one of the best decisions I have ever made (up till that point the best decision I made happened on 05/16/2015. I feel amazing I am no longer border line diabetic and can run and move without loosing my breath. I am not worried that when and if my wife and I have children will I not be there for all those special moments in their lives.. Some people my shake their heads in disappointment saying I could have done it on my own and maybe I could have.. But the pros in my decision out weight the cons.. I love me and I am happy with myself and my body.. I'm not done yet still have about 40lbs to go till I'm at my goal weight.. But if anyone has any questions about my surgery and if I would do it again I would say YES a million time over.. And those of you who have 100+ to lose I highly recommend you look into it, not only for you but for your families sake.. It is not a easy way out. It is not a fix all solution, it is a tool and at times it is difficult but in the end it is so rewarding
