I hear you YLLUZ. Everything tastes too sweet to me too. Try to get your Fluid in so you don't get dehydrated. Could you try adding Protein to cottage cheese or r

Low fat ricotta?

Hang in there! I think we have all been there. You will regain some strength soon and things will start to taste better too! Best of luck to you!

I am am five weeks yesterday and I am just starting to get over having "trembly hands"! :P I am also an insulin dependant diabetic using a pump and the low blood sugar is making me feel weak a lot but at three weeks I was just starting to come out of the 'haze'. Hang on! You'll get better!

It definitely will get better. Trust me. I find that the Protein Shakes are too sweet for me too. So, I add lots of Water to mine. I drink it every day like that. With 24 oz of water. As long as you drink it all, you are getting the Protein and the added bonus of more water intake. I would try that if I were you. I buy ISO 100 protein online on Amazon and its cheap and good (I prefer the Orange Dreamcicle one) Good luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
