Ok, so sorry in advance for this.... I know it doesn't really have anything to do with WLS but I am so annoyed right now. I had the sleeve surgery done on June 22nd (awesome so glad I did). But then 5 weeks later had to have my gallbladder taken out. And now 4 weeks later I get to have another surgery. Yay me! At least its not on my stomach area this time. Its just to remove a tumor from my wrist but dude Im so tired of surgery's. I use to think I wanted a boob job but now I think I like these babies just the way they are. I am so tired of having surgery. Ok done with the venting. Thanks for reading. :)

I understand. Surgeries in general make you feel like poo for a few days, there's the disruption in your schedule, etc. Hoping this one will be the last you'll need!

Thanks, I hope this is the last one too, but the surgeon says I will prob need many more to come on my wrist.

Lol, vent away! I have had quite a few "procedures" since surgery and I know how you feel. It seems like something always pops up. Hope you get it all resolved!

Hi,

@@CANDI254, sorry about all the surgeries! Can I ask if the gallbladder removal had anything to do with being sleeved? I was advised to take some medication to avoid gallstones but didn't take it. (I felt I was taking too many meds to add another one) just curious!

Thx!

@@pumpkinseed29 Yeah, my doc says that about 80% of WLS patients gallbladders go bad after surgery.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
