Head hunger - how do you deal with it?

Recommended Posts

I was just banded yesterday and I'm feeling great. When I got home yesterday though, the first thought I had was "oh my gosh, I can't EAT." My head instantly wanted something. I was finally able to appease it with broth and to distract it with fashion runway shows on TV. But for those of you who get this head hunger, how do you deal with it? Does it get better when you really start to see results? Do you struggle with this all the time? Thanks, Cherry

I struggle with it still and I'm 5 months out. It's a game really. When I get head hungry, I gotta remove myself from the house. I find it easier when I'm on the go to ignore it except for those snack packs of peanuts. I gotta do better at substituting fluids for head hunger and going outside away from the food.

I recently picked up fly fishing and the stream is right down the street from my house. I hope that it helps.

I am nine weeks after surgery and this is definitely my most difficult challenge. I am home alone during the day and fight myself to not overeat. It's head hunger without a doubt and I don't have any real answers for you, to date, however, I REALLY EMPATHIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
