lauri 0 Posted December 5, 2004 I'M GOING TO HAVE AN ASTHMA ATTACK IF I DON'T QUIT LAUGHING! Sometimes, I think I get more stomach/face exercise here than at curves!! Hey-I really did have shoes with gas! They farted with every step I took and stunk to high heaven, too! I chuncked them in the gargage(at the curb) as soon as I got a pair to replace them. La_madam 20 Posted December 5, 2004 Serouisly Guys Its obvious that after reading this post..we all fart alot more then pre-band..Does anyone know the reason why? This is one question I keep forgetting to ask my Docotor when I go see him. I think I will ask my PCP when I go on Thursday. I have never farted in myl ife as much as I have in the last 8 months..hell for that matter in the last week and I wasnt even eating any food this past week due to my esophagitis. lauri 0 Posted December 5, 2004 I really think it could have something to due with the amount of stomach acid produced compared to the intake of food. You might, also, be consuming more Fiber in the form of veggies which are known to produce more gas. (Just a thought)
DeLarla 22 Posted December 5, 2004 Gosh, I wish I could burp. I wasn't able to burp well before the band, but aterwards I let some pretty impressive sounds out. Better a burp than a toot is what I always say. But I read the famous "Fart Page" and they said the two aren't related, so even if I could burp the alphabet I'd still be toot-tootin' the night away. lapbander081004 7 Posted December 5, 2004 A burp is just a gush of air extending from the heart but when it has a down fall then its called a fart.< /p>

Rebeccalee 2 Posted December 5, 2004 Sorry to hear about your aunt and your mom. I think that's the worst part of getting old -- losing or worrying about our loved ones. I actually walked tonight, sort of. We have a monthly art night in our downtown area. All the stores are open and have Snacks and art displays. There was a light rain so we wore cozy clothes and walked all over. That's it this week. Sheesh. Got our bathroom painted, though. I hope your mom gets better soon. lapbander081004 7 Posted December 5, 2004 Thank you for you concerns. My aunt will probably not get better. Shes not eating and has a living wil which doesn't allow force feeding or any life saving intervention. mom needs surgery and is the process of getting ready for that. She should recover well. She' 78 but extremely active. She just can't move around much so i spend lots of time there helping her out.
lauri 0 Posted December 5, 2004 Greg, I'm glad that you are able to be with your mother when she needs you. I'm sure you are a real blessing to her. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. It is nice to have you back! You add a certain "air" to the place. LOL
lapbander081004 7 Posted December 5, 2004 Thank you Lauri. She gets to be a handfull only because she is so frustrated with her disability right now. Soon it should be back to normal for her. But keep the prayers coming anyways I can use them That certain "AIR" used to get me in touble. Now I just blame it on the band.

Iluvharleys 15 Posted December 5, 2004 My thoughts are with you Greg, taking care of older parents/relatives can be exhausting, but also rewarding. I took care of my Mom and Dad, and worked too. I can honestly say though that I have so many good memories that I wouldn't have had if I wasn't the one holding their hands and caring for them. You will not regret one minute of it later in life. I will say a prayer for all of you!
