TCaruso70 1 Posted August 24, 2015 I just got approved by insurance & get my surgery date on Tuesday. Yay! I live alone. I have a friend who is driving me to the hospital & home, then is staying over at my house the first night home. Besides that I have others to check on me. I will have purchased the liquids I need before I get the surgery. Is that enough help? I have a small dog- will I be able to take him out for short walks the first few days after surgery? Advise please...
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted August 24, 2015 I did not have to, but I could have gone it alone with others just checking up on me. But that is because I am retired and do not have to take care of little ones. Just be prepared to be tired. If someone offers to help - let them.

Bufflehead 6,358 Posted August 24, 2015 You should be fine. I had no trouble taking care of three cats and a large dog completely on my own after surgery. I took my dog for four short walks every day and she was in heaven.
dmc7399 2 Posted August 25, 2015 What area do you live in? If I'm close I will help you. I'm still in the paperwork process of my journey
