samskiles 159 Posted August 24, 2015 How is everyone keeping track of what you're eating/drinking? What are the best apps or are you just writing it down?

SoCalLeslie 16 Posted August 24, 2015 I guess I'm old school - I'm writing everything down. At one of my pre-education classes they gave us a nice small spiral bound notebook, and it's easy for me to just grab it after every meal. I've heard good things about MyFitnessPal though. Maybe I should check it out myself!
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 24, 2015 I use MyFitnessPal. It's great because I can't remember what I ate 10 minutes ago. It is a very easy way to track Protein, fluids, and exercise.

samskiles 159 Posted August 24, 2015 My plate is what I'm using now but I don't like that you can't build a recipe.
Daisee68 2,493 Posted August 24, 2015 @@samskiles you can do a recipe on My plate but it is a little difficult to get to (or I haven't found an easier way). When you type in a food, go to the bottom of the food list and click on View All Results. Then go to the bottom of that page and click on Add a food to Database and then on that page you can click on Create a Recipe. I am sure there is a better way but this is the only way I found. _Kate_ 2,224 Posted August 24, 2015 I use My Fitness Pal. It has a barcode searcher which is fantastic. Click on the barcode of the product (or type it in) and it comes up with all the nutritional values and stores it in the memory!

Thinside 155 Posted August 24, 2015 I use Sparkpeople for food, weight, exercise and other goals. And Waterlogged on my phone for Water. What I like about Sparkpeople is you can specify which nutrients you want to track, add recipes, copy foods from day to day, and track other goals. So I track my Vitamins (so many!), how often I use coconut oil and firming lotion (trying to prevent sagging!) It also links to my Fitbit. And you can see reports over time. It's fun watching the line for weight head down to the right hand corner! I find it really easy to use. I don't like Sparkpeople for Water, though, because it's by the glass, not ounces. Plus it's easier for me to log that on the app on my phone.
