MickeyMax95 38 Posted August 23, 2015 I'm just starting out my process to schedule my sleeve surgery. I'm hoping to schedule my surgery this December after my semester at college. I would really love to shed some weight on my own before my surgery and change my habits in preparation for it. I've already changed my diet and eating habits which helped me lose about 10 to 15 pounds already. However, I'm having difficulty finding good workout routines! Does anyone know of good tutorial websites, YouTube videos, etc that teach you how to properly lift weights? Or of any good cardio workouts? I do have a gym membership which makes it easier. Although, I find myself going and doing the same old thing which I know will not help me!.
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted August 23, 2015 I am a fan of classes. Since you are in college and belong to a gym, you might want to explore some fitness classes. I happen to like Water aerobics. It's great for all fitness levels and is easy on the joints. Depending on your own physical limitations, some things may be better than others. You also might want to consider making an appointment with a personal trainer either at your college or at your gym. There are some great exercise videos on YouTube. If you live in a college campus you can also take advantage of things like intramurals and club sports. Dancing is also a great exercise, whether through a class, at a party or club, or alone in your own room! Just be careful about drinking (empty calories) if you go the party/club route.
