I litterally don't like anything I eat? I'm so sick of Soups ( I'm on the full liquid stage)

1) I don't like Soup anymore

2) I can barley stomach milk-based Protein Shakes ( barley getting Protein in)

3) I've been only able to drink fruit juice ( no sugar added)

My parents are very worried I'm not eating enough but I really don't know what to eat!

Today I had 5spoons of brocolli soup

Some apple juice

And some orange and pineapple juice

And that's really it...

Nothing else

I really don't know what to do, I have 5 days left until I can have a blenderized diet

I can't tell from your post, that you can't stomach food or if you are just tired of eating the same old thing?

But here's my experience. My first 10 days post-op, I literally couldn't eat a single teaspoon of food without Frankensleeve twisting into knots. I didn't like the pain, but I tried look at it this way; I had thousands and thousands of calories stored in my fat. I wasn't going to starve for months! As long as I stayed hydrated and felt okay, I wasn't worried. I didn't worry about getting enough Protein, I didn't worry about anything except Water. I knew that eventually, I'd be able to eat normally again.

I am right there with you...and can't move into the next stage until Thursday. Just sharing some things that have worked for me...someone shared that they use nectar Protein powder - and it has been my saving grace! I got the Lemonade flavor and mix it with Water. I think it has 20 grams of Protein. I also have been drinking plain milk - for me it is so much better than adding the Protein Powder. Found a brand of milk that has 12 g of protein - Fair Life. Horizon has 8 g of protein. Good luck and keep in mind - it is only 5 days! :)

I'm six weeks out and should be near the end of soft food, almost able to start eating normally again--but I hate everything. Either it makes me sick or I just have no desire to eat at all. Protein shakes give me dumping syndrome. I hate greek yogurt. I was over cottage cheese after two days. I never want to see Soup again for as long as I live. Everything makes me feel uncomfortable and bloated.

Forgive me for sounding like the spokesperson for Fairlife milk, but Fairlife Milk is the only reason I haven't died of starvation! It's ultra-filtered, so lactose and most other sugars are gone, and it's got extra Protein and Calcium. I drink that with a variety of sugar free/diet flavors (strawberry, chocolate, PB2, diet hot cocoa), and munch low-fat cheese or occasionally a frozen yogurt bar.

Some people just tolerate different things. My sleeve just happens to be a crybaby about everything, but it'll get better. Yours will too. Just keep experimenting with different foods so you find a way to get your protein.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
