great book - emotional eating

The psychologist I've seen gave me a fabulous book, Emotional Eating. I swear at least half the book was me. Some of it was stuff I knew already, but definitely needed to read again. Have just the last chapter to read. So many of us who need to lose weight are emotional eaters - maybe all of us????

Because I use food to deal with stress and boredom the psychologist thought this was a good book for me. Hopefully I'll have the wonderful full feeling after I get banded (August?) that I won't want to eat, but I'll still have stress and some boredom in my life. Looking for a new hobby to replace eating:), but haven't found one yet! Funny - she said according to my test, I handle stress very well. Of course I do - I EAT it away!:)

Pam, who is the Author of the book? I'd like to check it out from the library. I too am an emotional eater. I have my psych eval Aug. 7th and would like to get a jump start on that book. It definitely couldn't hurt. Thanks for sharing. Good luck next month ;-) Be well. Kelly
