jessicashae33 56 Posted August 22, 2015 I feel great!! I am down 15 lbs!! (The last day i weighed myself was a couple days into my pre op diet). I have very little pain which is awesome!!! i can handle about a 1/4 of a cup of chicken broth at a time. Popcicles are good so far. I tried Jello but it didn't settle very well so i will wait on that. Only a few days left and i can switch to the full liquids! Yaaay!! Just wanted to post to show that it's not that bad. I do have some cravings but i think it's just because i know i can't eat it right now. But at least they are healthy cravings I wish the best of luck to everyone on this journey!!! Keep your eye on the prize!!!
Dawn306 50 Posted August 22, 2015 That's awesome! I also have a little bit of unsettled feeling with Jello. I just thought it was from the artificial flavors, cuz I also get like that with Crystal Light now (never bothered me before). I am 10 days out today, and feeling more energetic and just better all-round. I also can drink as usual too (don't have to take little sips anymore), so I have to really remind myself to try to go slower. Started full fluids yesterday, and it was great to have more choices. Am trying to get a minimum of 60g Protein in per day, which is a challenge. Yay for Protein shakes, and also yay for powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup flavor Protein powder! That's lunch every day.
njmomof4kidz 13 Posted August 23, 2015 Where do you get Unjury? What do they sell that you like?
Dawn306 50 Posted August 24, 2015 I couldn't find anywhere that sold it here in Regina, so I ordered it from their website. Their Protein powders are really nice tasting. I have tried the chocolate Splendor and the chicken Soup flavors so far. I have heard others say they really like the Orange flavor, but I haven't tried it. I always use the little thermometer they sent along with the chicken Soup flavor to make sure that my Water is not over 140 degrees. Apparently it will curdle like cooked egg whites if you put it into Water that's too hot. Their site also has some recipe ideas for the Protein shakes. They also sell some protein Snacks which I plan to order next. They are pretty expensive - works out to about $2 per bar. I have to keep reminding myself that my favorite chips are around $3 per bag, so it's not such a bad choice. Will let you know how they taste.

jessicashae33 56 Posted August 30, 2015 I would call just to be sure everything is ok. Better safe than sorry. And i didn't have any weight loss for a few days and then all of a sudden it started coming off. I am now 25lbs down. I try to walk often which really helps. It might be the gas pain that you are feeling. Have you tried gasx strips?? They are a life saver!! So is walking. It will make you feel so much better!
