Magnesium Citrate...can we take this after surgery?

Anyone know if we can take magnesium citrate after we've had sleeve surgery?... it's kind of carbonated so I'm wondering if we shouldn't have it.... but I'm experiencing some serious cramps.. it feels like a blockage and I need relief. It's hard even getting Water down at this point and I don't want to get dehydrated. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! !

I just took it yesterday and I did not experience any problems. I would say yes why not. If not that try peri colace.

I took it and these cramps aren't constipation....my intestines feel like they're in a vice. ..been going on all day. ..I started soft solid food on Thursday so I'm guessing that's it???? I have no Idea but I'm in a lot of crampy pain...ugh. ..

maybe you have an impaction. That's kinda why I recommended the peri colace it has a stool softener and a stimulate. I've been there and done that and it semi traumatized me cause I was being a baby about it. Good luck!

I've been taking my K/Mg citrate in pill form since right after surgery. No problem.

My doc sd can take it but open and let go flat before drinking because of carbonation. Try milk of magnesium
