Sleeve McQueen 1 Posted August 21, 2015 So.. I have always had severe cramping before and during my menstrual cycle. But I was able to treat it with naproxen/ibuprofen. I know I can't take those anymore. So any suggestions for alternatives (and Tylenol, heat pads, tea etc do nothing for me) I'm desperate. Side note: my company switched insurance providers and some glitch left me without insurance this month so I can't see my PCP or surgeon till sept ???? oh and I'm 8 weeks out. Dream4tc 192 Posted August 21, 2015 Have you tried anything homeopathic? I used to get really bad cramps and occasionally I still do. I use heating pad, and extra strength Tylenol. I also use sublingual Homeopathic Belladonna 6x that I get from my health food store. It really helps me with acute pain and works fast within 15 minutes. However, I would probably talk with your physician before taking anything, as medications either Over the counter (OTC), homeopathic, or prescription because they may interact with each other or be contraindicated. Sometimes gentle stretching can help as well, hot tub baths, massage, reflexology (accu-pressure), relaxation and deep breathing. Also check with your pharmacist and see what they recommend OTC. I hope you can get them under control and feel better, cramps suck!
