I started a new job Monday in a factory. I stand on my feet and run around like a wild chicken for 10 1/2 hours a day. Since I've started I've gained six pounds!!! I'm sweating my ass off in there (no air conditioning..no stools...) how in the heck could I gain six pounds?? I drink A LOT of crystal light to keep me hydrated...so maybe Water weight? I mean I sweat so much my shirts are soaked in the back (EW I know lol)

Hmm maybe it's muscle? If your running around like that perhaps you've gained some muscle weight

Idk. I obviously have more fat than muscle so wouldn't I still go down? I was 226 now I'm 231. I think I'm allergic to sweat and exercise... ????????????????

Maybe! It upset me quite a bit though because I'm not eating anywhere near as much as I was before. I eat Breakfast and then have grapes for my break and then come home and have a small dinner. I'm so wore out in not hungry.

@@glitterpockets Crystal light or just fake sugar in general can make you retain Fluid. That may be your problem. Try just Water.< /p>

You may not be eating enough for how much you're burning. How many calories are you eating and a day and how much has your nut suggested? You may need more to keep up with the demands of your job.

@glitterpocket cracking up lol I've been saying that my whole life ... Sighs it may be your body fighting to hold on or Fluid retention too or ummm "gas" since my surgery I often get terrible gas it doesn't hurt or anything I often don't realize it until it wants to get the hell out then I almost swear I could take off like a hot air balloon thought I was eating something to cause it but it doesn't seem to go away no matter what I cut out

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
