confusedgirl18 6 Posted August 20, 2015 I'm 16 days post op, recently I've been having to go out to lunch for birthdays and such and I've been getting Soups ( I'm on the full liquid diet), most of the soups are cream based, such as cream of chicken Soup and mushroom soup. I have another birthday lunch and I was planning to get a broccoli soup ( cream based) is this too much fat for me? Should I stop eating out and just go and sit there? Bufflehead 6,358 Posted August 20, 2015 Just eat about half the Soup and you should be fine.
hopefulmom76 41 Posted August 20, 2015 I Think I would avoid broccoli since it can cause gas.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted August 20, 2015 Don't eat much and balance it out by cutting back the rest of the day. If you know you going out to lunch, have Protein Shakes the rest of the day.
AmbulanceDude 6 Posted August 20, 2015 I am 17 days post op, and I am sitting at my desk having creamy broccoli Soup as we speak. Just take it slow, and be like the beer commercials used to say " Know when to say when".
hockeyfan7 249 Posted August 20, 2015 Cream Soups were on my post-op liquid list as approved. You probably can't eat enough of it to make the calories be too high.
