DrewzWife 65 Posted August 20, 2015 I spoke with my doctor's office today and they only give you and injection before you go home. But you're on Heparin will in the hospital.

hockeyfan7 249 Posted August 20, 2015 Not post discharge. I was in the hospital 2 nights and I got heparin shots every 4 hours while I was there. I went home with 22 bruises from the shots and the blood draws.
Mistie 201 Posted August 21, 2015 I already take blood thinners. So my usual way to manage a surgery is to stop pills 4-5 days preop and start tummy injections 2x per day. Continue post op as directed. Not sure how long they will keep me on the shots after.
