Karlnjax 163 Posted August 19, 2015 Does anyone else have this going on? Anything we can do other then always sipping a drink? Thanks, Karl
armywife79 123 Posted August 19, 2015 Yes! I had this big time right after my surgery. I eventually used hard sugar free candies to help my dry mouth. The best were the Walgreens store brand called nice. That really helped, I just kept a bunch in my pocket and at My desk . This does go away, mine did around month 3. armywife79 123 Posted August 19, 2015 NP, don't worry, all these new weird annoyances go away pretty fast. Hang in there!
choosehope 233 Posted August 19, 2015 I talked with my dentist about dry mouth because I've seen a number of comments about tooth probs post bypass. He recommended I use Biotene toothpaste and mouth spray, as well as Biotene or Act lozenges. He also said not to use mouthwash with alcohol in it. And drink plenty of Water. I have good teeth and don't want to run the risk of probs!
FrankinTexas 58 Posted August 20, 2015 I have been using Biotene mouth spray.
wildGoose 207 Posted August 20, 2015 Mu dry mouth is gone. But while I had it, I chewed gum, drank Water, ate sugar free popsies and sugar free Jello. Good luck.
