I have tried 5 different brands of chewable vitamins and I can't keep any of them down. No issues with vomiting up anything but Vitamins. It is getting expensive trying brand after brand! costco gummies are the only vitamins my whole life I have not puked up but I am told they are not allowed. Has anyone had success with liquid vitamins and can you recommend a brand? TIA

I have Centrum liquid and bought it from Amazon. I don't intend to take it for long as it is expensive (and a bottle only lasts 2 weeks) but it tastes nice and I have managed to get it down and it stays down !

Best of Luck finding the right one for you :D

@@sbacoleman - why are you doing chewable?

I break mine in half or crush them and swallow or spinkle onto a spoon of yogurt (or SF pudding). I just recently finished my generic chewable flintstones they were getting gross to chew in the morning. I went to a generic Centrum adults under 50 (I am 52 but was told to take them) and I break them in half.

Can you do capsules? I couldn't stand the chewables either so I started taking the Celebrate capsules (auto-ship on Amazon) and have been sooooo much happier!

I am 4 weeks post-op and was told only chewable or liquid vitamins. I did try breaking the Bariatric Advantage ones in half and still was running to get it back up. I will try grinding into yogurt or something while I wait for liquid to come from Amazon. None of the doc's recommendations have helped so I thankful to have another place to ask questions. Many thanks.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
