Afraid I'll gain the weight back...

Swimming would give me a reason to wear my new swimsuit too. :-)

I'm having problems exercising. I just had a total knee replacement. No exercise in a month. I just reached my goal weight.

Oh my goodness I can so relate! I reached goal in December with the help of a LOT of running and yoga. Ran my first marathon in May and had my plastic surgery two weeks later and was told to stop exercise for six weeks. Doctor actually finally cleared me after SEVEN weeks and I was so so so afraid I would gain!

Well I kept on top of it and didn't gain and actually lost (and more than he removed through plastics) and now and slowly working my running mileage back up and getting back in prime yoga shape.

YOU CAN DO IT!

Do whatever it is you know you need to do whether it's tracking or avoiding trigger foods or doing a back to basics reset IF you find things getting lax, if not then it's all good, but the worry is normal and will keep you on track.

Ugh! Gained three pounds back. I can't drive yet. I'm doing some excersizes at home. My husband doesn't help. Ice cream, Cookies, chips and cakes... He had gastric sleeve surgery. He was 350, now he's 275. His BMI is still in the obese range. I worry he's stretching his stomach back out. He's also eating more. I'm worried about him too.

I'm not eating the junk. I just don't want it in the house.

I have the fear every day. I have days I feel fat. Lol. I am 5' 9 and weigh 128. I know I am not fat. But I fear it every single day. Which is why I weigh every day. I will always weigh every day. I can tell by how loose my rings are if I am retaining Water. I have it down to a science. But I still have cravings. I am still hungry a good amount of the time. I think I have trained myself on how much to eat. I weigh my food out and track in my fitness pal. The fear is real. And it's scary. And I don't want to gain any weight back. I will be one year out on August 25th. I keep thinking last year at this time I was on liquids only....preparing for my surgery. Oh how time flies.

I'm 2 1/2 years out. I try not to weigh every day, by I usually do. I'm normally not hungry, but I also sometimes eat things I shouldn't. I too feel fat at times. My husband says I'm fine. He said that when I was 220. I just don't EVER want to go back to that. I barely eat. Only about 1 cup a day. My husband is worried I'm now becoming anorexic.

Are you in therapy? Sounds like you need to be in therapy.

Not just about with the weight thing, either. You sound depressed.

Yes I'm in therapy. I'm bi-polar. I'm usually suffer from the major depression. I do take my medications. If I didn't, it would be, has been much worse. Sorry. Now I feel bad. I feel like I've complained to much if you've noticed the depression. Stress makes it worse.

sweettea, you're really dribbling out the information here, one post at a time.

And I read on another thread a few minutes ago that your husband was sleeved not long ago (he's still obese), but he's now bringing into the house and eating ice cream, cake, Cookies, etc.

How do you feel about that?

The extra junk in the house only bothers me because I worry about him. I feel he's sabatoging his own health. I don't have to many problems with it affecting me and my eating habits. BUT, I'm afraid that sooner or later it will. He says he buys the junk for his teenage son whose only over here every other weekend. He buys grapes and bananas for me.

Dribbling out information?

No, don't worry about it. I struggle with depression, and my mom was bi-polar, so I can recognize it pretty easily. I'm glad you're in therapy, as it sounds like you have a lot you have to cope with right now.

Just be aware that you're walking a fine line with the fear of weight gain. Make sure your therapist knows about your fear and treats you accordingly.

Re fear of weight gain ... I can't imagine each of us doesn't fear that.

But I'll speak for myself: I fear it. I'm only four months into maintenance. There's no way I feel stable at this point.

I worry about that too. That I may go the exact opposite and become anorexic, because of my issues. I swing from one emotion to another, I'm a rapid cycler. My psychologist has definitely noticed the weight lose. He's commented on it many times, but never negatively. I have a lot of stress on me right at the moment, mostly family issues.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
