Loose Skin Prevention/Hair Loss

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all!!! Newbie here! I'm 7 days post sleeve. Just wondering if anyone has any tips for preventing loose, saggy skin. supplements, exercises, undergarments, anything. I know it's to be expected. I'm looking to lose between 100-120lbs. I've had 2 babies so I already have my fair share of loose skin and would really like to prevent the need for post loss surgery (although I'm definitely not ruling it out). I'm naturally narrow waisted so I carry all over. Upper arms, thighs, lower abdomen, neck, back (EEK!!) OH!! hair loss! I know it's going to happen and it's to be expected. Anything I can do now to make it less dramatic? I have pretty thin hair as it is. Thanks for the help!

Biotin and Probiotics are key to reducing hairloss and helping with skin

I did tons of Biotin. I did Probiotics. I did collagen and Vitamin E and other creams. I did keratin. I did dry brushing. I did weight training and running. I got all my Protein in.

I still lost hair and had a ton of loose skin (but a body fat of 18%!)

It's genetics and age and skin type. Not a lot you can do.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
