Yes, my stage 2 is everything on my stage 1 (clear liquids) and I can add in skim milk and strained, low fat creamed Soups. I've been doing this since Thursday and supposed to last for 14 days total or until I see the dr. for my follow up.

This is pretty common. It's just called different things. You should be able to have Protein shakes, right? That should make up a lot of your intake at this point. Be sure the Soups are strained / thinned out a little bit. No chunks at all (some soups have chunks). Blend them if you have to in order to get the chunks out. Otherwise, just keep doing what you have been - Protein Shakes, broths, sugar free popsicles, etc. I know it is tough but it will be over soon. You just have to power through it. Pureeds will be here soon and trust me you will welcome it!

Hmm. That is strange. So how are you supposed to get Protein? Hopefully someone else who had a similar plan will weigh in. Sorry I couldn't help!

My point maybe I should call my nut and see what's going on.

Yes I think I would. Maybe (hopefully) they just didn't explain correctly? Protein is needed to heal so I don't know how you can go without it. Good luck! Let us know what they say!

@@lachellove - I'm sorry it is so confusing. :( You have enough to deal with without this confusion! Wait until tomorrow and then make sure when you call you tell them it is urgent so they call you back! :D Lots of programs are different, so maybe there is a reason behind it. Hopefully you can sleep well and will get answers tomorrow! HUGS!

@@lachellove - any word from your NUT today? Been thinking about you. I got my day all messed up because I had to fast for labs and then they had it wrong and had to go somewhere else, blah blah blah. Anyway, I felt awful all day and was never able to get a shake in (yet anyway) and just kept thinking I wasn't sure how you were getting through without them!

Hmm. Yep. Agree it is strange. Glad you are doing ok without! This is the first day in 12 weeks I have gone without a shake. It feels quite strange like surely I have forgotten something important. :D

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
