I love the taste of this one and it says it has 60g of Protein per scoop but I haven't read of anyone trying it so just wondering

Our bari program allows this powder (available at Wal-Mart). Of course, you would want to only consume ONE scoop (30gm) of Protein at a time because that is all the body can absorb. You're just wasting your money if you drink 60gm at one time.

From what I have read and heard on the boards here from others, your body doesn't need more than 25 -30 gr of Protein at each meal. The rest is just a waste.

Ok what I've been doing is pouring a whole scoop in a separate container each day and eating the Protein throughout the day. I add half to a shake and later to oatmeal or yogurt cause I figured 60g a meal was too much.

I just wanted to make sure. Thanks for letting me know!

I agree...and one scoop of the powder has 30 Protein and 200(!) calories(2 scoops is 60 protein and 400 calories)...that's a lot of calories-I think I would only do that if I were in desperate need of protein and not really eating anything else...[=55712:ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1439697120.451492.jpg]

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
