majorsmama 91 Posted August 15, 2015 Are you sure the rumbling is actual hunger and not gas or reflux? I'm over 2 weeks post-op and have not had a single moment where I've been hungry. I think you should discuss this with your surgeon.

aligracehall94 3 Posted August 22, 2015 I did that the first couple of days . Try light pergreso Soup. But blend it could. It will full you up & they have all kinds if flavored .i also eat frozen Pickle Juice which I think is better than my medication.
sbg224 318 Posted August 22, 2015 i do get hungry, doc told me I was thirsty, and other people say it's reflux, or gas, but it is hunger. I am 18 days post op and it has subsided some, but not totally. I can eat what I feel is alot, compared to what some other people say, and it worries me, but I am still eating about an 1/8 of what I used to.. Just eat what they tell you too, and I do get full pretty quickly, that's the good part, if only the scale would move.

thinkingthin15 12 Posted August 23, 2015 OMG my stomach has been rumbling so much and so loud, although I don't feel hungry. I keep eating the sugar free popcicles because I trying to reach my liquid goal. I think the rumbling is from the gas or it my stomach's way of telling me it's pissed at me for what I've done to it. kaysunshine 47 Posted August 30, 2015 I'm 3 days post op. NOT HUNGRY AT ALL. I'm afraid to eat,due to all the pain. I just got out of the hospital. My frist few days haven't been as easy as previously thought. This is a journey we are on. I thought I was ready I now realize I could've researched more. I read on this site about some of the feelings of remorse or uncertainty after surgery. I even read about dehydration, feed pumps. I thought nah....that won't be me. Not saying that it was or will become me. I just under stand the risk more clearly now. Gas,pain, water issues, nausea,swalling....oh my...

sgibbs 16 Posted August 30, 2015 Jay sunshine...you feel that way now because of your discomfort level...those gas pain can be maddening... Keep moving ..stretch those arms overhead an burp n fart til you feel better. I was burping all the time in recovery and was far from modest about it. You must get that gas out. Do your deep breathing exercises to get in oxygen and get all those melds out of your lungs. Cough, cough, cough. I got out early because out of the three bariactric patients...I did the best..burp..and excuse me please..I'm trying to recover. :-)
