DrewzWife 65 Posted August 15, 2015 I just came from the emergency room with bad stomach pains and was told I have H-Pylori bacteria. My sleeve is scheduled for August 25th how will this effect it? I'm in tears because I came too far for this to happen.

queencity 62 Posted August 18, 2015 my surgeon noticed i had high levels of bacteria in my stomach (h-pylori) when he did my EGD. I am on a 14day antibiotic, my bacteria levels have to go back down to normal before we proceed before surgery.
Mandala27 14 Posted August 18, 2015 Don't worry. You will be given a couple of antibiotics to take for two weeks prior to surgery. You should be fine.
