DrewzWife 65 Posted August 19, 2015 I had a second opinion and there was no signs of this bacteria. This really frightens me.
cslove 141 Posted August 19, 2015 Yep, I got the call this weekend. It is a very common bacteria that 90% of people have. It mostly lies dormant, but since surgery can make it flare up, the surgeons tend to be proactive and treat in in advance. I started my meds yesterday - 2 antibiotics and Prilosec for 10 days. I am not scheduled to be rechecked as it is preventative. My surgery is 8/31.
queencity 62 Posted August 19, 2015 I have to finish my 14 day antibiotic and then wait again 14 days to take a breath test and make sure the levels have gone down. But as i heard most surgeons are different.
