No restriction feeling hungry

Recommended Posts

I am 10 weeks post op. Down 45 pounds. The last week I have been working many hours. At work I am starving and am not feeling full. No restrictive feeling. I'm confused. Also craving carbs. Feeling nervous. The days I'm off I feel restricted and am not hungry at all. So confused. Any words of wisdom. Going to see NUT this week.

Are you getting all of your required/recommended amounts of Protein and Water during the day?

Have you tried sipping Water when those feelings occur?

10 weeks out, what all have you reintroduced yourself to food-wise? Are you able to tell if any of these things are high in carbs? I've found I only crave carbs when I eat carbs, it's a vicious cycle.

You might be dehydrated at work. When I am working I have a hard time getting my Water in. If I do nothing but concentrate on drinking I can drink 20-24oz in 30 minutes. So I drink Water in the car nothing else to focus on (well driving) and I get it down fast.

Probably the head hunger from being around people who are eating and regular food is probably making you crazy. I don't know if I could do this if I had to work in an office with people.

I was told "hunger" usually is a sign of dehydration and/or low Protein. I have a hard time keeping both those up, but I know if I think I might be "hungry," I drink lots of water!

Are you taking a PPI? I would check that, also make sure to meet those Fluid and Protein goals. Are you on soft foods? What are you eating? Do you eat/drink differently when you are at work?

Are you making sure to not drink 30 min before/after eating? I notice when I follow that rule I feel full longer
