I have not been banded yet (August for me) but I know someone who knows someone (as it normally goes) who had an issue with vomiting

and this caused her to "choke" on the band! Is there any way this could

be possible? This sounds scary.:phanvan

No, this isn't possible because the band is placed on the outside of the stomach. However, maybe they are referring to PB's which can sometimes feel like you've got a ball stuck in your chest. It's certainly one of the hazards of banding but one most of us learn to avoid as much as possible by chewing well only tiny bits of food at a time.

Thank you! You have been very helpful. I hear so many good things

about the band. More good than bad. I guess if you follow your

doctor's instructions, then you can expect a good recovery, and

if you don't...well, it's not so good.
