keddykat75 57 Posted August 12, 2015 Awesome!!!! Congrats to you. How do you feel? Still have a lot of gas pain when I drink liquids. Hopefully that will go away soon. I am on full liquids so I did just successfully eat a Greek yogurt with almost no discomfort. Taking that as a major win.

cslove 141 Posted September 5, 2015 The day after surgery (9/1) which was also my wedding anniversary, was awful. I had the worst nausea ever. My surgeon was concerned because he checked on me between every case that day. However, once I received something to help me sleep that night, I felt so much better. I couldn't take the pain meds because they contributed to the nausea. Each day has gotten better. I am home and focusing on getting liquids and Protein in which is hard, but I'm committed. I just remind myself that this won't last forever. I am learning to take things day by day.
thbrown223 214 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) cslove, that's good to hear. I'm sorry about the pain meds and nausea. I worry about that because I get nauseous so very easy. Congratulations again on your surgery and your journey. I'm sure it's totally new way to live. Nice to hear your commitment, I can only imagine how difficult it is. Do you have a week or two for the post op liquid diet? Continue to feel better and hang in there? Edited September 5, 2015 by thbrown223
Dream4tc 192 Posted September 5, 2015 Fabulous forties ladies! I am one of them! I am 41. I plan on shedding this extra weight with revision to bypass in November. And hopefully reach my goal weight by summer time next year. I keep hoping that I will get to my original weight, but 6 pounds 11 ounces is not realistic hehehe. All joking aside, let's face it its so much harder to lose weight in our 40"s than it was whenever we were 20. With our WLS tools, we can all reach our goals and a healthier life:)
kathy2208 40 Posted September 5, 2015 (edited) Hey I'm 41 and today I have my pretesting at the hospital for an ekg and venous testing as well as blood works. Hope I get surgery soon. I've been battling my weight in my 20s 30s and I refuse to go through this in my 40s tired of everyone telling me your pretty but try to lose weight ????I can relate to so many who have tried on there own but can't seem to lose the weight. And when I do I gain it make just as fast Edited September 5, 2015 by kathy2208
kathy2208 40 Posted September 5, 2015 OMG I know I feel I gained more in my 40s then my 20s or 30s it's so much harder now in my 40s. Our metabolism slows down ????????????
