lvlpar 11 Posted August 11, 2015 My surgeon told me that after 2 weeks i could go back to the gym. I've been going back now for about a week and half and the one thing i noticed was how quickly I got tired. They suggested that i do just cardio for the first 4-6 weeks to let the stomach heal completely and also to avoid any hernias or bulges in the stomach. They did say that if I had to do some weights, I should only do about 1/2 of what i was doing pre-op and build your strength back up. After about 6 or 7 workouts im back up to doing 45 minutes to 60 minutes of cardio at a intermediate level without getting too tired. I will suggest that no matter what you do, keep sipping Water while you workout or you will get very dehydrated... i learned that the hard way. Good luck hope this helps.
