shellyd67 198 Posted August 12, 2015 @@TXTinana We are almost to the finish line ...5 more days. How have you managed on the liquid diet week 2 ?
TXTinana 269 Posted August 12, 2015 (edited) @@shellyd67 I didn't do hot on just liquids. My doctor allows veggies and I relied a little too heavily on those last week. My in laws took us all out for dinner to Texas Roadhouse and they do not have Soups :-( I got the veggie plate with green Beans, sautéed mushrooms and a sweet potato (which I felt super guilty about). This week I am doing much better. I am looking to keep it strictly liquids all week. Edited August 12, 2015 by TXTinana
jane13 2,256 Posted August 12, 2015 @@TXTinana - @@shellyd67 @@ylluz I had the cold feet literally and mentally in pre-op. I tried to distract myself and because I was first in I was fortunately in before the panic got bad. I remember being wheeled in and thinking "OMG what the heck am I doing, RUN!" Then this nice male RN said "Ma'am take a deep breath and relax...." Next thing I know I was in recovery---- NO REGRETS at all!

How long you stay in varies based on your recovery. I had my surgery on a Monday and went home on Tuesday. My understanding is that is fairly standard, but is also fairly normal for some folks to need an extra day or two.
TXTinana 269 Posted August 13, 2015 I had no idea we had to stay in until wed I tought it was a one day surgery in and out!!!. I was told that back when I started the process. Not everyone does. My doctor requires a two day stay just to make sure everything is going smoothly before I go home.
