greyeyes 0 Posted July 4, 2007 :phanvan Hi, I've been playing the game with my insurance company and was denied. Then changed companies and they don't cover it. So I'm not entertaining doctors. I have one localy but just am not impressed by him or his office staff, I'm sad to say. Now, I'm traveling 219 miles to visit with another doctor. Anyone in the car for 3 to 4 hours after surgery... please fill me in. Any help is highly appreciated.

Band Chick 3 Posted July 4, 2007 I'm curious about travel too. The hospital is only about 50 miles away but it's on the other side of a major city-- lots of traffic. So, I will be in the car 1-3 hours, depending on time of day and traffic accidents. I'm worried how awful that car ride might end up being. Good post. WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted July 4, 2007 The key here is driving vs. someone driving you. Just get up, stretch, walk around if you can. Life will be good.
greyeyes 0 Posted July 5, 2007 I'm in Oklahoma, Tulsa Area. I'm going to be driving to Kansas City, KS to take a look at Dr. Malley and Dr. Ellison, since they are just a few miles from each other.
annieM 2 Posted July 5, 2007 You'll be fine. Just have someone else drive so you can sleep!
greyeyes 0 Posted July 5, 2007 Thanks girls. I'm really excited about the trip... especially if one of these two doctors are the right fit. What a glorious feeling.... so close to a major step to being freeeeeeeee. I can only imagine how you must feel.
greenize 0 Posted July 5, 2007 I had my surgery in Mexico, and two days after my surgery I flew home to Michigan! Flew into detroit and then still had a 3 hour ride home. You'll be fine. Just rest and relax as much as possible, bring a pillow to hold over your tummy to keep it from bouncing, and concentrate on how great you're gonna look skinny! I didn't think to bring a pillow, that's a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
