I think Protein is a fad, 60-70 g is waaaaaay over doing it. Proteins bars are loaded with sugar and crap, I eat those too... But not behind this 500 dollar business of gross Protein Shakes. U want protein? Go to Arby's and get a junior bacon cheddar melt. Good studd

Protein supplements are ONE way to get in protein. You do know about macronutrients, right? Protein/carbs/fats?

Thing is, no one requires an IQ test pre-op.

Lots of WLS patients eat post-op like this clown does.

Bless their hearts.

I'll be glad when school starts so these little 12 yr old boys will have something better to do than play on momma's computer all day. Some are in need of some real education. Bye now @chunkylover. You will be gone soon xoxoxo

This has to be a hoax, there is no way someone took the time to have WLS and thinks like this

I would love to do this too [become a vegetarian]. I can't justify torturing animals to have a few bits of food and tossing the rest. I am dying inside,

@ ... you're nothing if not inconsistent.

Don't feed the troll, folks.

Unless it's an Arby's Jr bacon cheddar melt.

Ok everyone, I may have trolled a little too hard on this one. My mantra is moderation. I am sorry if I have offended anyone or made light on anyone's struggles. I am struggling as well, and have been struggling for a long time with weight and food issues, I just choose to do so in a sarcastic cynical way.

I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling but am truly glad to hear your apology.

We all have to remember that sarcasm does not communicate well through social media.

I bet you will get a lot more support if you are honest and a bit more humble and open minded.

As to your struggling with food issues, I do agree with moderation in some areas but I know I have to be realistic.

For me, what has worked so far is to not relent on the Protein and Water goals. After that, I can be a little more flexible.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
