Aside from being healthy, I cannot wait until my thighs no longer rub together when I walk! I cannot remember a time that they didn't do that.

Woohoo, that was the final decision making point for me to have the surgery as well. My husband and I have tried for over a year with no success. We are looking forward to trying again in another year and for it be a much healthier pregnancy. I hope you have success as well!

I'm so excited to fit comfortably in seats at amusement parks and not have to go to extended seats or be kicked out of line. I had that happen at Cedar Point and it was mortifying.

I also can't wait to feel better when working out. Because right now it's horrible and not motivating.

1. Being able to buy clothes off the rack

2. Not having to replace my single pair of jeans every couple months because of thigh rub

3. Not avoiding cameras. I'd also like to mention being in pictures without having to be the fat girl prop that makes the average person look fantastic in comparison.

4. Going into a restaurant and not having people stare while I eat.

My youngest daughter asked me the other day why I wear the same shirt so much. Well... Because it fits...sort of....

Besides getting fit and healthy. I'm most looking forward to wearing a sweater when I want to and not because I'm trying to hide my rolls/belly. All my life I've worn a sweater during every season, even summer because I didn't like the way I look and in my mind wearing a sweater hid all of that. I love photography, I love capturing moments and people in my shoots. So I'm looking forward to not only taking the pictures but actually being in them. Creating a "perfect shot" with me in it. And finally, not being limited on what clothing stores I could walk into. Not having the fitting room lady give me that snarky look that says: "you're not going to fit in that" and when I try it on, of course not having it fit. I'm ready to stop tearing up and mentally comforting/preparing myself as I get dressed to step out of the four walls of shame because she was right. I'm looking forward to finally being myself 100% because I am fun and loving and no one's seen how much I've struggled throughout the years because I only show my happy, cheery side. So I'm ready to be happy again. I'll finally, unconditionally love the person who stares back at me in the mirror every morning. I won't allow myself to hurt that person again. I'm ready to make changes for myself. I'm ready!! ^_^

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
