You don't offer much information. How much have you lost? How long have you been stalled? What's your goal? How far away from your goal are you? How much are you eating (calories, Protein, carbs)? How much are you exercising?

I think you should look at your accomplishments!!! Wow!! 140# in that short of time is incredible!! Ask your trainer to change things up a bit, work a new routine, change things around and that can help a lot. But girl..you have done amazing!! keep that hard work up and your chin!! :)

Wow! That's awfully low cals. I can't help but believe that you will blow through that plateau eventually.

You might want to look at this post I just made. Not saying that plan would work for you. But you could consider trying something different like that.

Very best to you.

Congratulations on the weight loss.

I have to agree that 900 calories seems awfully low for someone getting 90 grams of Protein a day and working out regularly. Is 90 grams a day your protein goal?

Mine is 100 grams a day and I hover around 1200 calories a day.

How are you doing on your fluids?

What does your NUT say?

Stalls seem pretty much normal.. You've lost 140 pounds in less than a year.. in about 10 months.. that's 14 pounds a month; the average is 8-10 pounds a month, so you are doing really well.

I normally workout pretty heavy 5-6 days a week. I would add some cardio in between your trainer sessions, but you seem to be doing well.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
