MarceMonster 161 Posted August 21, 2015 Some people say not to weigh yourself weekly because it can cause a lot of stress. Plus lots of people say that we should not be so focused on the number, I have a very hard time with that. The number matters to me! If you want to weigh yourself weekly, then go ahead, just remember not every week will be the same and sometimes you may be disappointed. I am going through that right now. AvaFern 3,516 Posted August 22, 2015 I also didn't pay attention to carbs and looking at MyFitnessPal I easily get in 100+ a day. In my past experience I could lose weight without carbs but the second I ate them again I gained it all back, so I decided that any change of lifestyle for me had to include a decent amount of carbs because I wasn't giving them up for life. I lost more slowly than a lot of people, but I'm now at goal and have been for about 5 months and I eat a ton of carbs.
sleevenv 483 Posted August 22, 2015 My instructions are to weigh once a week until I meet goal because we will obsess and get depressed with every little fluctuation. Once goal is reached, then I'm to weigh almost daily to keep myself in check. Your post is exactly why my surgeon and Nut says not to weigh that often in the losing phase. We allow our emotions and moods to be controlled by the scale. Concentrate on NSV!
