rp1980 116 Posted August 8, 2015 I had a friend who was diagnosed with adult-onset type 1 diabetes. As a result, she lost about 30 lbs. When people ask her what she did to lose the weight, she just says portion sizes and exercise. Is it the whole truth? No, but her medical history is no one else's business. It's the same way with WLS. If you want to disclose it go ahead! But it's not dishonest to not tell everything about your medical history.
IcanMakeit 1,318 Posted August 8, 2015 Wow. I'm amazed that some people believe that because something is true, it must be public. I disagree very strongly with that notion. I have the right keep information about my body private. Period. It sounds like your co-worker does not believe in a right to privacy and she should not be privy to medical information. I understand you not wanting to rock the boat and I respect your decision, but I might have reported her.
