Question on Sugar free popsicle and cream of mushroom/chicken for pre-op

Hi All,

I am looking at sugar free popsicles and mine has 2G sugar alchol (total carb 4g) but on the packet it says sugar free, is this still safe to eat?

Additionally do i only have clear broths or can I have cream of mushroom/chicken?

I am also looking at creamsicle sugar free which surprisingly has no sugar? 3g of Fiber this is confusing

That depends on your pre-op diet directions. Are you on Clear liquids or some full liquids?

If clear only then no cream Soups or creamsicles...if full liquids are okay then yes.

Definitely a question for your nutritionist or surgeon's office. My pre-op plan only allowed for broth or an occasional bowl of minestrone Soup. No cream Soups and ideally I was JUST supposed to stick to my Protein Shakes, salad with calorie-free dressing, and sugar-free popsicles/jello.
