bellabloom 2,467 Posted August 4, 2015 I'm really struggling right now. For the past five months I've been dealing with a really severe stricture. I had it dialated last month and it helped a little bit now the doctor wants to dialate it again. This stricture is in part responsible for how much weight I've lost. I've never not had it from day one so I don't know what normal sleeve restriction feels like. I've surpassed my goal weight and keep losing. I can't seem to want to stop losing. And I'm terrified if I have my stricture fixed I might begin to gain weight back. It gives me such a limit on how much I can eat and I like having that control. I'm afraid I won't have it once it's gone!!! I'm so scared to gain even a single pound. I'm really stressed about this and don't know what to do. I miss eating without pain but isn't the point of this surgery to give me control and why would I undo that?? And when have a I reached my goal weight really? Because it just keeps moving down. Anyone else have feelings like this?

Elode 8,093 Posted August 4, 2015 @@bellabloom The goal is to have restriction but not to be in pain, that's not normal or healthy to be in pain every time you eat something. Get it fixed and if you have to put a little more work into it so be it. You can't live your life in pain. Good luck!
VSGAnn2014 12,992 Posted August 4, 2015 I assume you had WLS to improve your health. Reread your OP above. What advice would you give someone else who'd written your post?
