How come I can't post on the veterans forum?

I get a message that says "you don't have enough permission to create a new topic on this forum"

I'm pretty sure you have to have at least 100 posts on the board before you're considered a veteran. Your profile shows that you've got 39.

"You must be one year out to post or create topics here." Since your surgery date is listed as Nov 1999, and your join date is Nov 2012, it might be confusing the system. Try going into your profile and correcting the surgery date.

How come I can't post on the veterans forum? :(

This forum is dedicated to veteran Sleevers who are one year or more post-op to discuss issues specific to those who are further along in their journey.

the above is at top of the veterans board

sorry you can't join the party "yet" :(

but i know you are very special and when you "grow up" you'll be welcome here

we'll have balloons to say hi

we would love to meet and great you sooner than later

kathy :)

good luck

Thanks for the info.

Guess I have to start posting more :)

I had my surgery in february of 2013, so definitely not a newbie :)

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
