Zweiz 4 Posted August 3, 2015 Hello All. I'm 5'7 and 225. Going in for my Sleeve tomorrow. I'm just worried that I won't be able to handle the surgery. Otherwise I'm all set. Have read the good and the bad. But it's time I felt healthy. I need to enjoy life again and to work out. I'm

Zweiz 4 Posted August 3, 2015 Thank you both for the support. I am snapping and everyone today. Maybe cause I'm beginning to panic. But once I'm drugged they can do what they want with me.

The Candidate 3,215 Posted August 3, 2015 Congrats on your surgery day! Nerves are normal, but you're going to be more than fine. Concentrate on why you're doing this, and what you hope to achieve. You are so much stronger than you realize. Good luck!

OKCPirate 5,323 Posted August 3, 2015 You should feel freaked out. It's big. But man is it sooooo worth it on the back end. Breathe deeply...
magicalwoman 190 Posted August 3, 2015 Good luck and lots of prayers with you. I think I will be the same way and feel "put the mask on and tell me to breathe". Done deal. The next year of my life is going to be amazing.
tjstark 74 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Good luck to you! I had my sleeve last Thursday. Let me tell you, I have such a low pain tolerance, I feel like I've been stabbed violently if I even stub my toe! I was worried about how much the surgery would hurt, but I'm pleased to say it wasn't as bad as expected. While in hospital you're hopped up on painkillers and they send you home with some too -- I'm off them as of today. The gas build-up was more painful than the incisions (and that's more of a discomfort than a major pain). All that said, I'm sure you'll be fine. If low pain tolerance me can make it through, you can too! Edited August 3, 2015 by tjstark
