I will be getting my elliptical delivered shortly. Has anyone else used iFit? How do you like it? I am excited to get it and start a workout plan. Well, I'll build up to one. I know I'll start out slow.

How about Les Mills Combat? Did you like it? I'm getting it because I have watched some on youTube and don't find it boring. This is an excitement for me. This is where I'll start. And in the mean time I will be ordering the equipment mat and weight gloves.

I have not tried the iFit I like to go at my own pace. I bought a treadmill but I like walking outside early in the mornings. There is a loss of atmosphere in my home. I am not motivated to workout in a place I have made so comfortable. I feel crazy because I wanted that treadmill and it does have the iFit feature just not interested in using it. I wouldn't mind finding a online exercise group like group Skype or something.

I have taken a Les Mill class at the gym with lifting weights and all it was intense and very challenging.

Best wishes whatever you decide.

Elliptical can be tough to just jump up on and get going with.

I suggest walking on treadmill several times a week for a couple months before the elliptical.

It'll get your tendons ready for the elliptical workout.

On the flip side....the knees are less stressed on the elliptical than you may think.

I chose the elliptical because of the stress to my knees. I went into the store for about week straight and decided on this. I'm just curious about iFit. I know I will have to wait a bit before using it regularly. I'm making a walking plan now! I've been getting moving a lot more. Each break at work, I'm walking. It's actually exciting.

I think that would be fun. But with Ifit you can race people. Have you seen a video class before? Would be really good to make use of your treadmill. I know it was an expensive thing to get and not use. That's what I was worried about with picking that. It's actually taken me about 2 months to come to a conclusion.

It has a 30 day money back guarantee. Not all of them have weights. I watched some so I think it should be okay for me. We'll see.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
