KUgirl 0 Posted July 3, 2007 Hello- I am new here. I went to my consult today with Dr. Malley in Kansas. I am thinking I need receipts from my past attempts for the insurance. I went to this place called Turning Point Weight Loss in 2003 it was a two year program like L.A. Weight Loss but with exercise. Long story short, I didn't keep my contract or receipts. The place has gone out of business. I have researched and made some calls but I cannot get a hold of any one that has any clue. (HMMM... only lost 15 pounds in a 3 month time frame no wonder they went out of business) Does any one know if my bank statements will work or have any ideas for me? Thank you-
Kat817 19 Posted July 3, 2007 Wow I have no idea! A quick call to your insurance to see first if they need it, and if they do, whether the checks would do should be pretty easy. There should be a # on the back of your insurance card. I called asking all kinds of questions!!! When you call, take detailed notes, on who you talked to, what time you called, and exactly what they said. Anytime you talk to someone about insurance issues, take notes, they tend to change on you if it is anything like mine!!! Welcome to LBT, it is a great site! Good luck in your band studies!!! KUgirl 0 Posted July 3, 2007 What does that have to do with my lost receipts? Dr. Malley has done more lap band surgeries in my area than any other doctor in the area in which I live. He has done close to 700. There must have been a medical reason he was not able to complete that person's surgery. The reason was that the liver was too large. I am sure Dr. Malley was doing the right thing. I wouldn't want to take any risks, if my liver is too big for the surgery, I would hope he would not continue or risk my health. Kat thank you- I will have to research it some more. The insurance gal is to call me by the end of the week. I wish I had the money in my hand to go have this done tomorrow, but I have to go through insurance. Thank you!!!
Guest KK321 Posted July 3, 2007 Not a thing. You might want to give your Secretary of State a call or check their site online to see if they have a contact name and address. Additionally, you might try you Attorney General's office.
