Getting Sleeved on Tuesday...8/4.... Any advice on how to prepare...both physically...and what should I bring with me? thank you ????

You don't need a robe, just get a second gown and wear it backwards when you go out walking in the hall, to avoid accidentally flashing people.

Trying to find out what to do the help physically.....I've been doing great on Liver shrinking diet but am wondering about any other pre surgery tricks....and although I'll only be in hospital for two days...one night....what should I bring...or not bring?

Thank you

My surgery is tomorrow too!!!!! I go in at 5:30a!!! I am so excited! Yay us!!!!!!!!

As far as packing, I have a gown, some very loose fitting lounge shorts, a t-shirt and flip flops. I of course packed my basic toiletries. My phone charger, phone, my journal, and my shaker bottle.

My husband was sleeved on 7/28/15 and he pretty much had the same minus the gown (lol).

He wore what he wore to the hospital home which I plan to do as well.

My husband is already down 11 pounds!!!!!!!!!!! So I am ready!

Good luck to you, I look forward to following up with you post-op.

Oh as far as the pre-op diet, my surgeon has his patients drink a bottle of magnesium citrate to clear your tummy out!

Thanks so much everyone....the surgery went great...I did have to stay an extra night because the sweeping was bad and I wasn't keeping any fluids down...very nauseous! I made sure to walk a lot...that def helps move the gas around. I'm home now...on the mend. I never realized how difficult it'd be to drink 90oz of water/clear liq in one day.....today is my first full day....I'm making it my job...haha

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
